I’m not going to pay for premium, and I’m getting pretty sick of seeing the ads for it. I just want to download my videos.
  • This app does some things well but horrible in others

This app makes it easy to communicate with GoPro devices, easy to make clips, easy to crop, and easy to apply filters. I find it highly annoying that the only way to add a soundtrack is through the studio part of the app that makes AUTOMATIC EDITS. I wish I could simply add some sound to my video without being stuck with automated edits to my video.

This app seems to think standing around and putting my ski gloves and poles on are highlight worthy! Really? How about capturing the actuall skiing?
  • Unpleasant video watching experience

While watching a video if you pause it, you have to restart it because it can't load. When you re-enter the video, the seek bar has poor performance. The seek bar isn't easy to navigate with, I constantly lose parts, or end up rewatching huge chunks because of it's poor navigation experience. There is no AirPlay included or any sort of cast option. Please include features that enable it to view it on a bigger screen without the need for moving the files to local devices.

Downloaded the app, created an account, but the last screen requires you to subscribe with a monthly or yearly fee. Never got to even seeing any functionality. So all the www/you…. Sites that talk about this being free must be pretty old.

Has nice filters and cool edits but connection is often an issue, as well as getting my footage, loaded the right date and time information.
  • Terrible app after app update

Ever since the app update, everything crashes and doesn’t Upload probably. The upload process keeps crashing and when and if it does work, it takes forever to upload. The app was great before the update but now it’s terrible. I’ve also tried deleting the app and reinstalling several times but to no avail.
  • Finicky, fails to address basic use cases

For the most part all I want to do is export my long videos and time lapses (that get split do to file system limitations). This should be way easier than the app makes it. First off I don’t want themes, music, titles, or the go pro logo in my videos, but all 4 of these are added by default, so every time I need to join 2 or more videos (that were actually one recording to begin with) I have to spend time removing these in an app that’s not very responsive. Just being able to set defaults for these (in my case defaulting them to off) would save massive amounts of time. Next when a single recording is split into segments (I understand why this happens, and that’s reasonable) the app doesn’t even order them correctly, so I get to spend a 5 minute figuring out the order (I often take time many hour (or even days) time lapses of panoramic views). Sorting a list by date (including time) is one line of code, videos seem to be only ordered by date, within a day it’s largely random order. Given that videos get split it seems reasonable to be able to join them back at a certain speed multiplier. This would be a very simple UX to implement. Lastly the app is just buggy, slow, never seems to upload to the cloud even if I keep the app open. Given how big go pro is and how many people own them, I would expect better software from such a company App has potential but right now is a big disappointment
