AIRLEARN IS BETTER THAN DUOLINGO. PERIOD.

Although this app sends a hundred notifications in a single day, you actually learn way more than you normally would in Duolingo. I remember, in Duolingo, I would just answer multiple choice questions and that’s it. I just started learning Japanese yet I have learned so much! I have discovered this app through this lady playing a game with lots of tongue twisters. She said that she learned English from Airlearn and was able to pronounce every single word with ease. That convinced me to download the app. When making my account, I tried looking for Vietnamese, as that is the language I wanted to learn, but Vietnamese wasn’t available. I then chose Mandarin because Cantonese wasn’t available and I am Chinese Vietnamese (I can speak basic Vietnamese but I can’t speak Chinese). I later swapped to Japanese because I wanted to watch anime without the subtitles. Also, I find it interesting how English speakers could learn to speak an advanced form of English. When learning new languages, I often picked up the habit of pronouncing the words as I listened to the audio. The lessons begin with you choosing which word is which with a lot of visual pictures but then as you complete more lessons you start to learn hiragana (which is early on) and katakana and Kanji (which is later on). The app also listens to your pronunciation of the words. The app also has you fill in the blank. Also, you can choose to turn the guided pronunciations off so that you could train yourself to memorize the characters. So why is this app better than Duolingo, you may ask? Unlike Duolingo, you get to learn new things about Japanese Culture, as there are mini lectures in the form of passages about the grammar, the meaning of the words, and the culture. Also, you aren’t pressured to get every single question right because you don’t loose lives every single time you get a question wrong. I really love this app!!

I just started using this app yesterday and I’m already addicted and I’ve done over 70 lessons today! Korean has never been easier!

Normally I tried other apps like Duolingo and what not and didn’t really make much progress, I love how this app breaks down the actual structure of what we’re covering in a fun way! It literally feels like I have a teacher with doing these tests n what not. Really rad and I am happy to be improving in my language!

Totally useless and a scam. Avoid it at all costs.

This app has done its job very well, I enjoy the fact they add little facts between lessons keeps you intrigued in the lesson:)

It is good if you are doing it for help but it needs more practice like the practice should be free because if it can be not easy to remember all the words

It has helped me so much. Learning how to say them and give me what the words sound like. Helps me remember the words and combine words to sentences

This app has taught me more in three days then Duolingo has taught me in a year. I definitely recommend this app.
