  • Crashes my hopes

As much as I love Pocket Camp Complete (and I do love it having played every version of Animal Crossing since Game Cube) I can only give this app 3 stars because it constantly, consistently crashes when crafting items. I’m talking three or four times in the space of five minutes, which causes extreme frustration.
  • Too slow, repeat and take 25 years to finish

It was a good game until they changed it to completed. A lot of players got stuck and couldn’t get any further but to wait for the system auto turn . With this wait, it would take almost 25 years to finish all levels. Don’t buy it if you don’t want to spend 25 years to finish it .

EDIT: Hey Devs! Now that this is a more or less a standalone game, can we get some of the changes that players have been asking for, for a while now? Like moving the Camper out of the way and being able to utilize the WHOLE of the camp site? Which also means getting rid of those weird spaces that the scenery blocks you from placing items there. Just look to the ACPocketCamp subreddit for all the good ideas. Maybe sleeves on the animal villagers too. No IAPs, no heavy reliance on random people to simply tap a button, and crafting things is AFFORDABLE without a day to day heavy grind. This is what it should’ve been in the first place.
  • Devastating

I let my niece watch videos on my phone about 3 days ago, when I got it back she had deleted this game and I ended losing the last nearly 6 months of progress when I redownloaded it. The backup file it redownloaded was from when I transferred from the original pocket camp to this one. So instead of being level 200 with a bunch of level 15 animals and the thousands of leaf tickets I spent of event items, I’m back to level 167 with hardly any level 15 friendships and event items. Not to mention I’ve lost most of my bells and leaf tickets now as well. Literally every day for 6 months that I’ve played this game and I have nothing to show for it anymore. So if anyone reads this, don’t be like me and make sure you go in and save backups because I can’t get anything back without having to restore my phone itself from my phones last backup and that requires me losing progress on other apps too then. I’m literally so devastated that I spent my hard earned money on this game and spent so much time and effort and now I’ve lost everything from when I first transferred my save file. It’s so heartbreaking that this could happen all because the game doesn’t store backups of your progress when it saves for you, so either go in and manually save backups or just don’t ever think about deleting this app whether on accident or on purpose. I spent $10 to buy this game and other people have spent $20 and we can’t have backups automatically saved for us for this specific reason? It’s so devastating that it makes me not even wanna play the game anymore but like I played for 7 years on the original and it just feels wrong if I stop playing now. I guess I should at least be glad I didn’t lose 7 years of progress and instead only lost 6 months.
  • MORE HH CLASSES

Like this game, the only issue are the happy home room classes. How can we advance to new ranks when challenge classes are barely added? We need the cookie classes back, and way more mystery challenge classes.

So I played the old one and loved it but found it too hard to actually do anything without spending a ton of real-life money so I think the new leaf token system is good. I feel like they could’ve at least updated the graphics to look more like ACNH, because they definitely can - like, the old one had slightly better graphics than new leaf, which made sense, but now that new horizons is out, with the new game I feel like the graphics are really disappointing, considering they look exactly like they did 7. Whole. Years. Ago., and much better ones have actually existed for almost 5 years
  • Impossible to Complete

I love the game, but the Happy Homeroom ranks will be impossible to complete in this version, and therefore it is impossible to unlock all gold furniture and complete the catalog. Even starting at Ultimate Rank 1, you need 4175 medals to reach Ultimate Rank 200 and unlock the final piece of gold furniture. If you’ve completed normal classes, Lottie’s challenges currently give you 9 medals/3 classes per month (108 medals per year). Cookie classes have been removed. So it will take 38+ years to reach the final level. Nintendo can’t be serious about this and they need to fix it. They gave us a “Complete” game that is impossible to complete. I wouldn’t have bothered buying it if I knew this was the case.
  • I hope to get good cookies- UPDATE: I still get the worst items and duplicates of them.

I have bad luck with it and get sooo many duplicates but I love the game, it’s relaxing and nice to play 😊. UPDATE: Still getting items i’ve gotten around 5 times while getting no other items in the cookies. I use my tickets on them which is hard to get and they should make it to where we get one of each no matter what rather than more than 3 duplicates (unless you get every item then you can get more).
  • Not worth $20!!!!

Just like the free version before they discontinued it. Only difference is now you can get fortune cookies, journal stickers, the camp helper, etc. for “free” as it’s included with the initial $20 game purchase. Otherwise, there’s absolutely nothing different. Not worth the $20 in my opinion, I’d like a refund.
