If you care at all about Privacy it’s a must! Just go read the privacy policies of each browser & you’ll see why….I was horrified to see all the things Google tells you right there in print they WILL retain about you …including ANY info you input into your emails which can be just about ANYTHING, including IMPORTANT documents …..just about everyone has a gmail but I bet most don’t read their privacy policies (yeah that alone has me currently de-googling my life) I couldn’t believe how much permission I had essentially given Google to probe my life! No thanks! The Duck is definitely the way to go! 🦆🐥🐤 I LOVE how transparent they are on everything….They are far superior in Privacy Practices and/or Privacy Features made available to you …But they also offer EVERY feature ANY other SE can offer you including the ones that you think you’ll miss or can’t live without! They even offer MANY features the others DO NOT ….The best part is most are provided by default so you are protected from the moment you sign on..You can even watch YouTube vids without being tracked ..I 🫶 DDG 🦆💋🤗now my default SE!💚🧡

I was so excited for this app, but the very first time I used it, I was going to the Build-A-Bear website, nothing dark or obscene lol. Anyway it kept telling me that it couldn’t open the website. I thought that was odd, but figured I would just do that order later on my laptop. I then accidentally hit go again or whatever the “go” command is called and a big pop up came up saying that my phone had been hacked and I didn’t bother reading the rest of it, I closed the screen and shut off my phone. Restarted the phone and it is working fine. But isn’t that exactly what they said wouldn’t happen?? I deleted it and reinstalled my old browser. I never had any problems with that one.

Its neat for looking at YouTube videos and the email feature is cool, but a browser that doesn’t let you change the default search engine? I don’t care for dark patterns even if its due to the motivations of the search company that chose to limit users. It doesn’t block Google Ads either. DuckDuckNope. Oh, and it collects your data.

In advertises that it competes with Google I don't use Google and it has been for a very long time because of all the data selling but what your browser seems to not be able to handle is a lot of of the basic questions that one would ask Google like what are the MLB standings And your AI is in need of lots of improvement

This is pretty much just a smoother, fully private version of Google, but there’s one crucial difference: privacy. Google will track you down and sell your data to advertisers, while DuckDuckGo will give you the same if not a higher quality engine without absolutely zero tracking.

Nice to not be followed. Been using DuckDuckGo for 2 years, love it.

🦆🧡 Long-time DDG evangelist here — I’ve converted more people to DuckDuckGo than a hipster with a new coffee shop. Friends, family, coworkers… even my dog might be using it if he had thumbs. The iOS browser is so close to perfect I can almost smell the digital privacy. It’s fast, sleek, and doesn’t track me like a jealous ex. BUT… there’s one glaring hole in my feathered utopia: no translate feature! Living abroad means I sometimes need to translate a full webpage just to make sure I didn’t accidentally agree to adopt a llama. Sadly, in these moments, I have to cheat on DDG with that other browser… you know the one 👀. Please, dear Duck overlords, give us translation powers. I promise to keep quacking your praises forever.
