    This is easily the best Reddit app on iPhone. Nothing comes close to the smoothness, UX, and richness of features that this app has. Yes, you DO have to pay a monthly fee for this app, but that is not the developer’s fault it is Reddit’s fault. Shame on anyone leaving a 1 star review because of the fee. I’ve been a loyal user for nearly a decade and this updated version is so much better in every way. The developer is super responsive and is constantly improving the app. You can customize this app in any way you want, the possibilities are truly endless.

    This app is awesome and the only way to really enjoy Reddit anymore. Sure, it stinks that Reddit changed their policies and requires money from 3rd party apps, but the developer did a great job making an awesome app and pricing it both reasonably, simply, and predictably. Highly recommend Narwhal. I was using it for years before the 2nd version and now it's even better!

    I was an Apollo user from day one, and narwhal has done a very good job replacing Apollo for me. There’s a healthy amount of customization allowing you to adjust things to your liking, it feels intuitive, and the developer is active in the narwhal subreddit addressing bugs and taking suggestions for features. It definitely deserves to be your go-to reddit app.

    I’ve been using narwhal for many years now and it makes for an awesome Reddit experience. I couldn’t imagine being on Reddit without narwhal. 5/5 highly recommend! 2025 update: still the best client for Reddit! Definitely worth the sub. Updates and great and consistent.

    Reddit has been going through a lot of changes over the last two years, but one thing hasn’t changed much: the official app is bad. Cluttered, clunky, and not fun to use; it’s such a miserable experience, you can’t even change text sizes within the app itself. I highly recommend Narwhal 2 instead; it represents a lot of hard work and determination, bringing back the best of what we lost years ago when Reddit cut ties with most third party apps, and maybe something more. Fast, responsive, and feature-rich with a ton of customization options, Narwhal 2 can be Reddit however you want to experience it. Recreate what you liked in a previous app or make it your own; it’s amazing what you can tweak in this app. Well worth a subscription, Narwhal 2 is a worthy successor to any of the previous generation of Reddit apps that gave up the ghost.

    After the fall of Apollo, I was made aware of Narwhal. Just like Apollo, there are things that could sometimes be done better. However, this is by far the best replacement for the native Reddit app. It has brought me back to enjoying scrolling Reddit without all of the unnecessary junk.
