I’ve been using Overcast for years, but in the last few months some really standout changes have taken it above and beyond. Transcripts are amazing, I appreciated the developer response around the episode limits and the final iteration works great for me, and day one support on the Duo is fantastic. Thanks a ton, best podcast app on iOS by far!

The update that just shipped moves the sleep timer so the scrubber shows time to sleep instead of time remaining. This is REALLY bad UX because e.g. if there’s are a couple more minutes left vs the sleep timer I might choose to extend it and now I cannot know! Please revert this change Marco, great app otherwise!

Overcast is the best, simplest, and cleanest podcast app available. I’ve used Overcast explicitly for over 7+ years and refuse to use any other app.

Needs more ways to sort episodes.

Now the app freezes on my iPad Pro so it is useless unless I only use my phone. Sad to have to let it go.

I used Overcast for year and loved it. When I updated phones this year to the iPhone 17, I decided to try the Apple podcast app. I hated almost every day of it. I finally came back to Overcast and remembered why I love it. The ability to lock the scrubbing slider on the lock screen is worth everything in itself. But beyond that it’s a clean design with a great level of personalization.

Was the best but now not so much. Have to open & close the app 3 or 4 times just to get it to finish downloading episodes & then even after it sometimes still freezes up🙈

Trying to download an episode here is so unintuitive. They hide it, it should be easier. But apps keep getting worse idk

Every single detail you want to cover in listening to podcasts is in this app. This is the way to organize, Listen to and enjoy your podcasts now and in the future. 🥹👍🏼

Lovely podcast app for a power user like myself.
