    No matter what I do, the icon won’t appear on my phone even though it appears on my iTunes.

    09/13/2026 Trying to download episodes to watch always fails. Just shows message failed. I don’t see a way to see why. This is happening with all podcasts I’m trying to download. Downloading through WiFi with phone not connected. Before I have been using this application for about six months now. Never had a issue using on the phone or watch. Syncing between has been great. Just noticed an annoying issue in Apple Car play that I hope the developer can fix. In car play after listening to podcasts for say a couple of hours and going back to the application it freezes and then after like ten seconds force crashes. Start the application up again and it works great for a while then crashes again. I’m hoping the developer gets the crash data and can fix as it’s the only issue I’ve ran into. Will move back to five star if this can get fixed.

    Have had Overcast on my devices for many years, though I didn’t always rush to install new versions. Earlier this year I updated my phone, and immediately regretted it. That update has completely broken the app. Five months of updates later, it’s still utterly nonfunctional. The main screen is nearly blank, just the new basic icons, with no obvious (or even unobvious) way to get it to start loading data again. Search doesn’t load. I can’t add new feeds. Importing the OPML file from another device does nothing. The profile screen in preferences is missing half of its functionality. I have deleted and reinstalled twice. It’s completely hosed. And there’s no way to get help, because Marco happily takes your money but refuses to offer even the most basic of support. It would be nice if he were present for his customers. Get off the AI slop and fix all the issues that have come up since the rewrite. I’m going back to Apple Podcasts.

    Transcriptions are excellent! It makes the commercial podcasts bearable, so easy to skip through all the garbage.

    Very good. Use in iPhone 12 mini, current iPad, web. WONDERFUL , easy, free transcripts. Has some on device vs server transcription maker (maybe?)? Not sure but what I do know is that most of my odd ball podcast have transcripts. No speaker/ diarization but that’s fine. Cons: Buggy last couple of months (across the board of devices). Another con is politics but, whatever. Dev has a popular long running podcast, fun to listen usually and every now and then maybe insightful! Recommend. I really wish the on the fly / up next/”now playing” playlist system was similar to basically every other audio player ever. This is seriously behind in its UX. Adding to “play next” means nothing as there is no rolling on the fly playlist. Can’t just skip to next / distinct podcasts and then come back to it later to finish up. Can’t bookmark important parts. No “AI” integration. Its audio (speed/eq) is good. TLDR I’ll probably end up re subbing, on the fly playlist sucks but transcript are sooooooo worth it!!!! AWESOME TRANSCRIPTS. Amazing. Thank you Marco.

    I'm not tech savvy but I grew to greatly dislike the podcast app on my iPad because it caused me constant storage issues. This app is so reliable and has gotten easier over time for me to navigate. Thank you, Marco, for giving us another option!!

    Not updating to Apple Watch. Not playing playlists continuously. Developer not answering emails or Tweets. Not connecting to Bluetooth. Volume goes up and down randomly. I’m using an iPhone XR updated to 13.3.1 and Apple Watch updated to 6.1.2. I hope this gets straightened out as this has been my go to app for podcasts.
