Whenever created this app is a POOR person disguising as rich

The League delivers subpar results for a premium price. This is my conclusion after using the app for 24 hours, and I won’t be using it for much longer. For context, I grew up in generational wealth and one thing I learned early on was how to discriminate between a poor person disguising as a rich person, and a person who is actually wealthy in spirit, mind, and practice. People who are wealthy and DESERVE to be there are GENEROUS. And DELIVER! They deliver on their promises and the results they promise. EMPTY PROMISES ARE A RED FLAG. They WILL tank your credibility and validity. I would IMMEDIATELY stop being friends with my friends if I knew they created an app like this. I mean.. REALLY? And… I knew instantly that The League app is NOT making as much money as its competitors—like Tinder, Hinge, Bumble—all which give you much of the same matches the League does while asking for premium prices (compared to those apps). You might say “those aren’t my competitors” but yes they absolutely are when the quality you deliver is EXACTLY the same. Btw. Paying 200-300 dollars to unlock all the features on this app is NOT a problem for us users. But when you do pay for the app and you get MID results from what you pay for and then you get asked for MORE money on top of that? Just because we as the user are TRYING to get a good experience (the bar really is SO low…) It all gives you the impression of “do you actually think we are stupid?” Once again: The League gives BIG promises with MEDIOCRE DELIVERY. And that cognitive dissonance gives the app SCAM ARTIST and LOW CLASS vibes. Stop posturing as wealth. You are embarrassing us.
Nothing “league-y” about it

They make this sound like it’s super exclusive and they take a while to vet you but then you are in and… really?! How is this different than Tinder? Even worse - you can’t keep looking at profiles and premium features are expensive. Don’t bother.
Garbage App

Don’t waste your time! Terrible customer service, the “algorithm” is no different than tinder’s, and not a lot of people on the app
Elitism

I’ve been stuck in the “application review” stage for days, which already reeks of elitism. Reviewing my application? Really? It’s a dating app…
But in this stage you can begin “building your profile” which I think is just building your application. The main focus of this app seems to be highly selective dating for people in ivy league schools. There’s literally an option you can toggle to only see people from ivy league schools. And the app is called “the league”. And I’m pretty sure my application is being waitlisted because I only attended a community college.
Bravo 👏🏽what we need more of in our society is separatism of the privileged class.
Skip it

Honestly, probably the worst dating app ever. If you ever want to match with someone who has “liked you” you have to pay extra. You get to swipe on 3 people per day and somehow those people never end up being people that have liked your profile so you never end up matching with anyone. It’s a waste of time.
Great Potential, but Hampered by Geographical and Functional Limits

Overall, the app offers a strong feature set, a clean layout, and a high-quality user base. However, it is clearly optimized for large, densely populated cities. Living in a less populated area, I’ve found it difficult to take full advantage of the platform.
Beyond the standard paywalls—which are quite steep to the point where a professional matchmaker might offer better value—the app lacks the ability to permanently dismiss or remove potential matches. This is incredibly frustrating; despite tweaking my search preferences, I am repeatedly presented with the same group of profiles. This leaves me at the mercy of the 'Daily Picks,' which are limited to only three per day for non-premium members.
While this platform has the potential to be the premier app for serious, professional relationship seekers, its ownership by the Match Group makes me skeptical that these user-experience issues will be addressed.
Disappointing

You only see 3 profiles a day to like and often they don’t even live in your city. Because of this it’s very slow to actually get matches and I’ve found a low volume of matches/meaningful conversations. This app, like dating apps, appears to be designed for you to spend money and stay on the app indefinitely vs actually finding a relationship
Never had a single date

I used the League for over a year along with other dating apps. I’ve been on many dates but not a single date from the League. Not only is it slim pickins but NOBODY responds once you do get a match. I don’t think I’ve gotten further than 1-2 replies with someone. Also they don’t show political affiliation which is a dealbreaker for me.
Paid Subscription does not work

The app does not work as advertised. I purchased an expensive premium subscription, but nothing changed compared to the free version.
I am still limited to around five likes, exactly the same as with a free account. None of the promised premium features actually work.
Customer support does not respond at all — messages are simply ignored. In addition, it feels like most profiles are bots or inactive accounts, which makes the app useless.
Overall, this was a waste of time and money. I do not recommend this app.
Waste of time

Filled out my profile entirely I’m a professional in the finance industry not a bad looking, dude. I was waitlisted on them reviewing my application for four months and I gave up. I just deleted my stuff. Don’t waste your time fellas. Take way too long to register even longer to fill out your profile and you’re basically gotta pay to be prioritized to just get an account. Good luck, fellas.
