  • Horrible new version

    By jp4jeffer
Ads pop up all over. Previous version was 100% better, easier to navigate, etc. I’m considering cancelling subscription after over 40 years.
  • Autoplaying ads with sound are obnoxious

    By Shines83
Ads on the Home Screen auto play WITH sounds. Are you joking. Totally unacceptable.
  • Freep app

    By Babciajo
The app makes reading difficult. It reloads if you try to look closely at a pic or back up to read previous articles. The news and story telling are great.
  • Yes I love the Free Press!

    By Aunt Fran C
I’ve lived in Florida for the last 28 years. The Miami Herald is a great newspaper, but so is the Detroit FreePress! Love it!
  • Freep app has issues

    By Hhhhereudbs
Screen goes blank from some of their ads.
  • No stars if I could

    By scott and laura
I subscribed to a one year digital access and the app is so clunky: App won’t allow me to access some subscriber stories, can’t change cookie preferences even though directed to a screen with selection buttons. Impossible to find content amongst all the adds and junk links. Garbage software. Please up your game.
  • Freep app

I want and pay $9.99/month to get the enewspaper. I know it isn’t the most up to the hour news, but has other news in it I enjoy. About 7-10 days ago something changed in the way I get the e newspaper now having to go thru the app to get it. It has made my use of the e newspaper less user friendly. Pulling up older editions also more cluncky. I can no longer download the edition and read it in an area with no Wi-Fi. If I try to do this, I could only read the first three pages .This I was previously able to do. I also get the USA Today and recently get a pop up cover the e edition asking me to go to the USA app as a different way to get the e edition. I always X that out as I would say my experience with the Detroit Free press app to get the e addition has not been satisfying for me.
  • App review

Why is it so difficult to find the Comics page when I access the e-paper? Comics have some of the best insights to human behavior, far more than news sometimes. I may cancel the subscription if it is discontinued! Free expression by the writers of “comics” is as important as written journalism! Correct this!
  • Terrible! I am unable to print the sudoku.

    By MrBeerFL
I have two Detroit Free Press’s on our IPads and can only print the Sudoku on one IPAD. I have deleted the Free Press from my IPAD and reinstall it, only to find that it still won’t print the Sudoku. I have to use my wife IPAD to print!
  • Don’t bother…

    By Freeak76
HORRIBLE app. Not much to it. Too many ads. Constantly slow, lagging, clunky… So much is gone that used to make the paper fun. COMPLETE WASTE OF MONEY. Nothing you need here that you can’t get for free anywhere else. What a joke the Free Press has become.
