Description

Get things done! The award-winning Things app helps you plan your day, manage your projects, and make real progress toward your goals. Best of all, it’s easy to use. Within the hour, you’ll have everything off your mind and neatly organized—from routine tasks to your biggest life goals—and you can start focusing on what matters today. “Things offers the best combination of design and functionality of any app we tested, with nearly all the features of other power user applications and a delightful interface that never gets in the way of your work.” —Wirecutter, The New York Times KEY FEATURES • Your To-Dos Your basic building block is the almighty To-Do—each a small step toward a great accomplishment. You can add notes, tag it, schedule it, and break it down into smaller steps. • Your Projects Create a Project for any big goal, then add the to-dos to reach it. Use headings to structure your list as you outline your plan. There’s also a place to jot down your notes, and a deadline to keep you on schedule. • Your Areas Create an Area for each sphere of your life, such as Work, Family, Finance, and so on. This keeps everything neatly organized, and helps you see the big picture as you set your plans in motion. • Your Plan Everything on your schedule is neatly laid out in the Today and Upcoming lists, which show your to-dos and calendar events. Each morning, see what you planned for Today and decide what you want to do. The rest is down to you :) MORE THINGS TO LOVE As you dive deeper, you’ll find Things packed with helpful features. Here are just a few: • Reminders — set a time and Things will remind you. • Repeaters — automatically repeat to-dos on a schedule you set. • This Evening — a special place for your evening plans. • Calendar integration — see your events and to-dos together. • Tags — categorize your to-dos and quickly filter lists. • Quick Find — instantly find to-dos or switch between lists. • Magic Plus — drag the + button to insert to-dos anywhere in a list. • Share extension — create to-dos with content from other apps. • Widgets — see lists on your home/lock screens. • Mail to Things — forward an email to Things; now it’s a to-do. • Markdown — structure & style your notes. • And much more! MADE FOR IPHONE Things is tailored to the iPhone with deep system integrations as well. A great example is the Share extension, which allows you to create to-dos with content from other apps, such as a link to a website you want to get back to. You can also enjoy a beautiful dark mode at sunset, connect your calendars, add a variety of widgets, create to-dos via Siri, import from Reminders—Things can do it all! There’s even Shortcuts integration if you want to automate your workflows. MADE FOR APPLE WATCH Things comes with a great app for Apple Watch. Just raise your wrist to glance at your Today list, mark to-dos complete as you go, and dictate new ones on the fly—all synced instantly with your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. AWARD-WINNING DESIGN Made in Stuttgart, with two Apple Design Awards to its name, Things is a fine example of German engineering: designed not only to look fantastic, but to be perfectly functional as well. Every detail is thoughtfully considered, then polished to perfection. “It’s like the unicorn of productivity tools: deep enough for serious work, surprisingly easy to use, and gorgeous enough to enjoy staring at.” —Apple GET THINGS TODAY Whatever it is you want to accomplish in life, Things can help you get there. • Got it because of Vision Pro support - use it everywhere

I didn’t know that I needed a new task manager. I was using an iPhone app. When I saw the VisionPro support and reviews for Things I gave it a shot. I really like the clean interface but I love that I have my tasks with me everyone on Macs, iPads, phone and VisionPro. It’s not a plan if you don’t have it with you.
  • Simple design helps stay focused

Feature request: be able to tap the circle next to a Project on any screen (ex. Today) to mark it as completed just like you can a regular todo item. Currently you have to tap it & open the project, then tap the circle again. Not difficult to do but it seems counterintuitive to be able to do that function on one screen but not the other.
  • Simple, but powerful if you want more of it

I tried many apps trying to create a to-do list, and I knew what I was looking for, but each app I tried either was too simple or very complicated or it would work only on iPhone but not on iMac, and I wanted to work on both devices with the data synchronized thru the cloud. When I found this “Things” app it was exactly what I was looking for, a simple interface, common sense buttons and instructions; but powerful if I wanted more from it, capable to synch thru the cloud, and it would work on my iPhone, my iMac, my iPad and my iWatch. I totally recommend this app to anyone looking for a simple and powerful app to manage projects as to-do lists.

Amazing app. Has literally made staying organized fun. And makes you want to add stuff. I’m going on a trip in a few days and I just typed everything I need to bring. I’ve never done that before in my life! Down to what’s going in my car, my suitcase, my backpack! The PLUS button everywhere (on widgets especially) paired with Inbox feature is best for quick notes to self and brain dumps. The built in tutorial is the best part. I just finished going through it step by step. One of the last tasks was to write a review. So here I am. Bravo THINGS! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Only issue, I wish there were a bundle price for multiple devices. I payed the $10 for phone and am doing 14 day trial on Mac. Haven’t added it to the iPad. Like that its pay what you need. Wish there were a bundle discount.

The combination of reading Getting Things Done and then installing this app to help me get organized has been life changing and I’m not exaggerating. This app has boosted my productivity and more importantly increased my peace of mind. I accomplish more and all while feeling like nothing is falling through the cracks. I’m able to combine work and personal items while tagging them appropriately and keeping everything that’s important visible to me. If you are a fan of Getting Things Done then this is the app for you.
  • Best productivity app EVER

The simplicity of this app keeps you focused on productivity and not on customization options. I don’t know how I would live without this app as it keeps me organized in my work, personal life and all around. By no longer keeping any to-do lists in my head, it has helped me reduce my stress and get better sleep. Crazy how much a simple app can change your life! Have it for all my devices and it is worth every penny.
  • No end-to-end encryption in 2024! Beware!

This app has a nice Ul and is very intuitive but it does not have end-to-end encryption of your data, which leave it exposed! This is unacceptable in 2024. While the app is nice, this drawback makes it unusable to someone who values security and online privacy. The developers need to add end-to-end encryption ASAP! Once this must-have functionality is implemented, I will gladly amend my rating.

Love this App overall just wish pictures can be attached to notes and task.
  • Need to integrate

Beautiful app. But is falling behind on others like TickTick and todoist. It needs to allow for windows integration. It would be the best if it could do so. Instead, I happily pay $40/year for a to do app that gives a windows program layout. This is a lot of money Things is missing out on.
