  • Two most recent updates broke Calendar

When I am using “Day” view of Calendar, the most important secondsry feature is being able to pull down on the month and see dots on all the days that have events. WHY did you remove this simple visual indicator? I am beyond frustrated, to the point I may have to port all my Org calendars out if Outlook and use another calendar app. Erasing all those dots makes the entire function of mobile app Calendar as a planning and appointment-scheduling tool WORTHLESS. You have no idea how many workflows you just ruined.
  • Outlook is suddenly impotent! 😢

For millions of users on iOS, as of this week, MS Outlook has suddenly stopped syncing with iPhones. This can be verified using Downdetector’s website. I don’t know the status on Android, but my Oulook on PC is still syncing fine. It’s only on iOS that a problem exists. Essentially, emails stopped downloading a few days ago. I installed no new updates or apps. One day it works, and the next day it stops. Oddly, the version history of Outlook (here in the App store) seems to reflect an update three days ago but there’s no button or notification to download an update. It’s strange to mention “bug fixes” precisely when the bugs appeared. The app incessantly says “downloading emails” but no progress is made. Something doesn’t make sense. UPDATE 5/1/2025: Now i see what they did. They sent out a surreptitious, silent command to the app to stop downloading emails. “cOiNciDeNtaLy” a new “update” appears to “fix” bugs so we install it, hoping for relief. Now the app won’t work at all until we “update” iOS, and I’m sure that will backdoor in a new array of desired surveillance settings, sneaky tweaks, forced permissions, and other Securitate agenda-attributes. If the phone is free at purchase, free lifetime services, etc., fine; but when we PAY for the product and services, it’s not yours anymore, Apple, MS, Google, etc. It transactionally becomes OUR PROPERTY to do with as we will.

app has become extremely toxic the past week. email from a business i work with daily ends up in the spam no matter how many times i tell it not to. another company’s emails never showed up so i had to change it to a gmail. then this app starts popping up a badge icon to setup a recovery email nearly every time i open the app. take a hint. so toxic.

I enjoy keeping my work and business separate on Outlook from my regular mail on Apple’s app, but my chief complaint is that when drafting an email I can’t move that window aside so that I can reference other emails without saving the draft and navigating menus.
