Excellent novel. Great pace. Not difficult to follow or understand. I kept finding myself trying to pick it up again to read what came next. From the first chapter, I was hooked.

A very slow read. I often like novels that give different perspectives but this one dragged on and made it difficult to stay engaged.

2.5 stars. The basic premise/plot point was and is still highly intriguing, but there were SO many things wrong with this book. The LEAST of which is that it does a horrible, god-awful job of talking about persons of color. I literally CRINGED reading certain bits. Next time, the publisher should look into sensitivity readers because...I can't even. Besides the highly offensive racists parts, on its face, the basic plot was intriguing.

I read Lying In Wait first and enjoyed it, so I had to read Unraveling Oliver. Both books are good reads, and I look forward to read others. Poor Oliver!
