Oh my god. This book was so so sweet and wonderful. I was smiling so widely like an idiot for most of it. Scott and Kip are so cute. Very silly to me that they were moving at a lesbian pace (saying I love you and moving in together so fast. I watched the heated rivalry series (eps 1-5 are out as I am writing this) and this definitely fills in some gaps. I was aware of the changes between the show and the book beforehand but it helps a lot to see what happened behind the scenes. Absolutely loved Scott gaining his confidence and coming out to people in his life. So looking forward to reading the rest of the series Also “in front of god and ilya rozanov” and Kip’s “Brooklyn drawl” I’m dying

Amazing!!

Rachel Reid has amazing insight for what goes on in a gay man’s head - his awareness of being “different”, his pride in who he is, his thoughts about sex, romance, and, yes, his desire (like almost all people) to love and be loved. This is a very good book with a great story and plot line. I doubt anyone, who is honest with themself, is not moved by Kip, Scott and their story.

Am I straight woman? Yes. Did I love this book? Also, yes. I absolutely adore the development of the relationship between Scott and Kip.

Fantastical

Story is good, but the voice acting for Kip on the audiobook is terrible. Definitely distracts from the story. Would not recommend audiobook for that reason.

It’s Notting Hill only gay and with a hockey star. It delivers on most fronts without ever setting itself apart.

Probably by far the best book I’ve ever read so far! It’s entertaining, definitely pulls on your heart strings.
