No spoilers, but I am the type to pride myself in being able to predict plots and guess where books are going and no author has EVER bamboozled me like Sarah J. Maas. This story has been absolutely riveting. Emotionally I feel like my heart’s been shoved into a dirty sink garbage disposal and then someone flicked the switch :) But like, in a good way.

This book was written so well with a great pace and you finally fall in love with every character

One of the best books I’ve ever read in my entire life. This series is by far one of my favorite

I opted for the tandem read with Tower of Dawn, a choice I wholeheartedly recommend. This approach, where both books are read concurrently due to their simultaneous timelines in different locations, significantly enhanced my experience. The constant switching between narratives kept the pacing dynamic and exciting, making me eager to dive back into each story to see what would unfold next. Empire of Storms itself is a whirlwind of revelations. Without giving away any spoilers, prepare yourself for an abundance of secrets coming to light. The plot truly intensifies, leading to some incredibly satisfying and impactful moments. While it's bittersweet to be approaching the final book in the series, I've dedicated a considerable amount of time to this world and its characters. It's time to make room for the many other captivating stories waiting on my TBR list!

I truly don't believe I'll ever have that "awestruck" feeling again, like I did when reading the battle during ACOTAR, or reading the skulls bay battle in this book. Truly phenomenal.

Aelin is just annoying in this book. I understand she has a lot of trauma to handle but that does not excuse her lack of common sense. Manon and Lysandra were real bada**es though.

I genuinely feel like this book was a rollercoaster. I was laughing, crying, swearing and smiling in reoccurring sequences. This book series has completely captured my heart! I knew from those first moments with Aelin and Rowen that they were mates, all of the silent conversations were too intense for it to be just an amazing bond. Still heartbreaking to have it outed this way. I can’t wait for Maeve to have what’s coming to her. Very sad to see setbacks w Lorcan and Elide when he had me sobbing at saying he would’ve joined her. Same with Lysandra and Aedion their relationship was very sweet. Obviously it will all sort out and can’t wait to read how.

By far my favorite so far in the series, rivals for my favorite book overall. Truly captivating.

Such a satisfying tie-in of all the characters we’ve come to love (and hate) with so much more adventure to go.
