This book was not uninteresting, but there was not much, actually very little, new as far as plot goes. It was difficult to stick with at times. It pales in comparison to the previous ones in the series. Very disappointing.

This was my favorite book of the series with Cas talking to Poppy and we get to see what he experienced in their early days and how he felt. It was so captivating and I couldn’t put it down. I read late into the night, many nights and am now so sleep deprived. But it was worth it!

This was a complete waste of time. It is a retelling of Poppy’s story but from Casteel’s POV. The last chapter is the only chapter with new information and even then, it could be skipped. Word to the author: stop dragging the story out by retelling it, we want new information. This seemed like a money grab to me. Don’t worry if you skip this book in the series, you have already read it, I promise you.

I have loved this series but was nervous about reading this one because of the reviews. However, I think this was one of the best. I flew through it and loved getting a different perspective on the plot. Seeing things from Cas’ view was interesting and hot. It also sets things up so well for what’s to come. If you’re a true fan of the series, you’re going to LOVE this book.

I wish I could get my money back. Just a review of all the events in the eyes of casteel. Unbelievable that the author decided to waste time on this instead of just furthering the story line

95% of the book is a repetition of the 1st book. When authors run out of ideas and try to squeeze more money out of readers is very disappointing and disrespectful.

Nothing new… just a repeat of the previous books

I almost didn’t read this book in the series because of all the bad reviews, but I’m so glad that I did! I think this may actually be my favorite book of the series! Going back and seeing Cas’s view on everything that happened in the beginning was WONDERFUL!! LOVE LOVE LOVE!

Almost whole book is just repeating book one but through Castels lens’s. These book have a great story but way too many pages are just fillers…. 20 page weird sex scenes, 20 pages boring conversations, and then this one just repeating book one material?

This is a just a summary of the previous books told from a different character’s perspective. I probably skipped half the pages knowing what already happens.
