Could’ve Been Better

I’m a big fan of the Will Trent series and was excited that Will and Sara were now married, but this book was slower than a car with no motor. The whole story plot dragged on and on and often times I had to flip back to figure out who the characters were. I’m normally a fast reader, but it took me almost 3 weeks to finish it. The best part to me…was nearly the end of the book. And of course after all that….it ends on a cliffhanger. Maybe the next book will be better.
Tedious.

I struggled through this. Have loved all the others. Maybe it is time to retire this series.

It was ok. But, in reading these Will Trent books, I can't help but think that it would be impossible for him to work in any law enforcement capacity. I don't think they would hire him . He would fail the phycological part. He talks about his dead mother constantly. She died when he was a baby. He is not mentally fit. Lots of people have trauma, but he doesn't seem to ever work through it.

I used to be a fan of Karin Slaughter, liking every book she wrote. But the plots are just getting more and more bizarre and unbelievable. On top of that, I’m not seeing any likable character in this novel, so for me, there’s nothing to relate to. This may be the last novel of hers, I’m reading, but I’m hoping for something better.
