So beautifully written that it hurts. Dostoyevsky yet again shows off his titanic vocabulary; and shows us how love can be the end all be all. Short and sweet, and found myself hating the roommate! A tragic love story that will leave you wanting just a few more white nights.

If you want a great starter into Dostoyevsky here’s a good start:)

My gosh what a beautiful story. This was my first read of Dostoevskys works and I’m hooked.

Great, great book. I read this in under twenty minutes. I was interested throughout every word (besides for the pages where The Dreamer went on about his life, I had to skip those as I spiraled into boredom!) Five stars.

The story is beautiful and we in one way or another can relate to the narrator.
