    I was emotional throughout the entire film. Seeing & feeling all the black excellence on screen, off screen, & in that room was powerful. What an incredible new take on the 1985 classic! This is a new classic in its own right.

    It was decent. Music was decent. But The Color Purple OG is one of my favorite movies ever, and i just can’t do this as a musical. It’s not terrible, but it’s just not nearly as good as the original. Sorry, old stuff is simply BETTER
