  • Book is wayyy Better

Like always (at least 99% of the time) the movie did not live up to the original book version, or come even close. A lot was chopped from James Patterson's book to make this movie. Some differences were a little interesting... I guess. The movie completely lacked character development and there was no love interest. Also, the way the plot unravelled (how Alex Cross solved the case) was too fast and unbelievable. Read the book and enjoy it. You can do without the movie.
  • It’s pretty decent, but the book is better

Kiss the Girls was great, but they strayed too far from the book on this one and even people who haven’t read the books, know that something is missing.
  • Tomato ratings inaccurate

I love this movie! I saw this movie when my sister had bought it and thought that it was great! I don’t see what these “critics” think is so bad. I don’t even consider the rotten tomato ratings when deciding whether to buy movies. Look at customer reviews and you’ll see that this is a movie to buy and keep.
  • Nothing at all like the book

I read the book in four days and absolutely loved it so much I decided to rent the movie. I was very disappointed in how the movie is nothing like the book. The characters and plot are so different.
  • Great Adaption

This is a great adaption. They stayed true the main point of the story, basically the only major change was the age difference. Everyone is older. But they made it work.
  • Alright, if you haven't read the book...

This was an alright movie, providing you haven't read the book. After reading the book and watching, it didn't follow the book, changed some of the most climactic parts, and completely altered the characters fates. Especially the character of Alex Cross. He's supposed to be an attractive late 30's, early 40's psychologist and detective. Also he's supposed to live in the rough part of DC, not a quaint street, hell who am I kidding, all the producers did was take the character names and a third of the plot concept and then recreate the rest. If you haven't read the book, you will enjoy it, but if you have read it, you will be disappointed. I rated it on the basis of the movie alone, but comparison to the book, it gets a half of star.

the movie was very OK,not perfect. the acting was mediocre and slightly cheesy. morgan freeman isn't that good, plays the same part in all of his movies.

Great thriller with killer twists, the incomparable Morgan Freeman, and a very demented villain. It's a "soft R" movie, not too violent, but as absorbing as they come.
