Description

The year was 1962. Teens twist at the Peppermint Lounge. John Glenn orbits Earth. Wilt Chamberlain scores 100 points in a single game. And Elvis digs the possibilities of Girls! Girls! Girls! This time he's a charter-boat skipper who helps tourists land the big ones. Of course, plenty of beautiful girls (including Stella Stevens) want to land Elvis. But there's something Elvis likes almost as much as romance–a boat! He yearns for a sleek sailboat with a $10,000 price tag. Let's see, that makes him about $9,999 short.

I watched Girls! Girls! Girls! On DVD and it was so funny! Except for when the cat hissed at Elvis. now I have a cat named after Elvis. I mostly covered my eyes to kissing parts. But I still liked it.

Girls! Girls! Girls!, it's a fun musical that features the King doing what he did best sing. A great film that's here simply for entertainment (though at the time it was another quick cash scheme struck together by his manager Col. Parker) Will be buying this one soon, it's fantastic

I love Elvis. I know that he didn't want to do the majority of the movies he did...they are all pretty cheesy but mostly entertaining. But this one...YIKES! It's so bad it isn't even fun to make fun of when you're watching it. Save your money. Watch Viva Las Vegas or Tickle Me. Great Elvis fun!

They were fun; Elvis looked great; his acting was perfect for the material (ie -- he didn't try to play King Lear -- he played a young good looking guy who loved the ladies), the locales were awesome and his voice was superb. I understand his frustration in the later movie years about the declining writing (songs and scripts) but Elvis left a body of work that few can match. It's popular to say Elvis couldn't act, but no one who has seen his work (especially the "usual" classics like King Creole and Jailhouse Rock) know he could definitely act. I was in college when Elvis died and all I heard from the FM college stations was negative stuff about Elvis and his talent. This stuff came from DJ's who didn't even know Elvis recorded blues, that musicians who were universally deemed "cool" idolized him, and that all those movie segments putting Elvis's music into video format would become a gigantic industry 10 years later. I'm glad to see that after all that's been said about Elvis, from fans and haters alike, his talent has trumped everything. Thanks Elvis; for the great stuff, for the fun stuff, and for the joy your music was.
