I can remember watching this film when it first came out and recently revisited it. What are mind blowing and eye opening especially in these times. Have things changed or improved? I wonder? Spike Lee has done a magnificent job of bringing a great man to life. Denzel Washington has done his role as Mr X justice. After over 3 hours of the story I was still captivated. A must see by everyone, black & white alike. Praise God for Spike Lee.

It’s so hard to catch and preform iconic characters like Tupac Malcolm X Or maybe even a Prince. This is by far Spike Lee’s best. Denzel played this part so good that I see Malcolm X when I see him. Being able to catch the life span of Malcolm without doing damage to it or boring the audience was amazing. This movie is an essential part of African culture and also the history of the United States of America

A great film by a great actor and filmmaker

What a great portrayal of brother Malcolm X. Watched this when it first came out and again in 2014. May he rest in peace. As a true Martyr of Islam ..for he finally found peace before death. Pray he is in heaven.

I had viewed this film many years ago not appreciating enough its brilliance and value as a historical statement. Denzel Washington's performance was flawless.

From the acting to the directing this powerful reenactment is a magnificent classic! Alex Haley is a brilliant writer and Spike Lee grabbed his masterpiece and made it come to life on the screen.
