Music is great, story is great, and the acting is pretty good. One of my favorites.

This was an amazing movie! I feel all the cast members that were casted for this film were perfect! I will say Selena Gomez was GREAT, though she played a minor role and only in no more then 3-4 scenes, she played her part terrifically...couldn't of asked for anything else from her! 👏👏 the director was PERFECT!

This was a good movie, I had hoped it would be better based on the rave reviews. There were some questions that were unanswered but overall it was a good movie.

There was a lot that I liked a lot about this film - mainly the performances of Billy Crudup and Anton Yelchin, so Macy definitely has what it takes to help bring out the best in actors. But the big twist that came so late made me feel completely manipulated and ripped off. How could they blindside me like that with such a critical piece of the story? That’s not good filmmaking at all. I read an article where Macy said they planted seeds, but I went back and watched and saw none, even when I knew the twist. They pulled my heartstrings and abused my trust.
  • Rotten Tomatoes are well … rotten

They must have eaten something very acidic for breakfast, claiming this performance is dishonest blah blah blah, must come from some grumpy miserable lifeless critic.

One of the best films I have seen in the last 20 years!!! If you don't love this movie, you are not just wrong, you are stupid.

Great flick, captures why I play and write music unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Billy Crudup is wonderful.

This movie is special. The subtle reveal is nothing short of amazing. Maybe it worked so well on me since I knew nothing of this before watching it. But its worth your time on so many levels. I wish to add that Sam Weisberg of the Village Voice, and Dennis Harvey of Variety should never have their critiques of anything published ever again. They have proven themselves unworthy of the role. I'm glad I didnt heed their rotten scores on this one.
  • A must see!

I was so moved by this movie's lesson in unconditional love. It is a must see! The soundtrack is incredible...So I bought both. I will watch this movie multiple times and will listen to the soundtrack on repeat. The cast is outstanding and I enjoyed the laughs and the tears that moved me throughout the film.
