These have been cropped to fit a 16:9 ratio. Do it right and release them in the original 4:3 or don't bother at all.

They cropped the top and bottom of the image on all the old episodes which were originally animated in a 4:3 aspect ratio. You're not seeing the whole image.

This is season has my favorite episodes. from sideshow bob's tattoo explained to say "the bart, the" in german, to mr. burns beloved bear bobo, all the way to when bart won an elephant, these crude episodes are #1 to me. my first choice.
