I was unsure about this Anime (maybe it was the title), but it is truly another great anime- I like it and I am pretty sure you will to.

Terrific dialog, a well-told story, an idealistic and principled hero, a complex villain, attractive visual style, comedy and tragedy along the way, and a satisfying resolution. I imagine this is going to tick the subtitle purists off, but of all the elements listed above, the real star of this series is the dialog. The voice actors are first rate, and the exchanges between characters are a constant pleasant surprise. Even the routine bickering between the headstrong friends on the central journey is lifted above standard Gifted Teens On A Quest fare, and delivered with unusual panache and perfect comic timing. The serious asides and exchanges aren't afraid to challenge the viewer to a bit of thoughtfulness..and maybe even stretch the vocabulary a bit. (The villain's dialog does turn a wee bit pompous and heavy-handed toward the very end, but c'mon, it's the climax to the story. It's his Big Moment! ) I found myself caring about these characters by the end of it all, and that's the best praise I know how to give an animated series. I'll stop now before I get into Spoiler Territory. I think it's an exceptional offering.
