Beautifully symbiosis of synth, electronic, rock, pop, acoustic, ... everything put together by discerning classy musicians. New Order is gold.

New Order had a lot of pressure on them to follow-up Brotherhood. I personally remember being a little disappointed at Technique's "commercialized" feeling at the time. But looking back from 2017, it is really just a great record. I love that tracks like "Dream Attack" are acoustic-driven dance music, while others are pure synth dance-pop. I still like Low-Life and Brotherhood better (because they helped to define the band), but this record is simply New Order embracing who they are and running with it.
  • I forgot.

I forgot how big this album was at the time. Even the titles of the songs threw me. But as soon as I strarted listening to the tracks I realized how hugh this album was in the clubs and at the end of the decade. New Order and Radiohead have a way of capturing you musically, and once in, hit you with lyrics that don't always match the tempo. It's been that way though the band's history. I'm also amazed that I'm only the second person to write a "review". Any fan of the band had this record. The album is way more important than this crumby couple of paragraphs. My dinner is waiting. DOWN LOAD IT.
  • CDQ vs iTunes

So, with the iTunes version, I noticed an amplification in volume which can be a pro and a con depending on how you listen to music. The bass sounds a ton more smoother and purposeful than the CDQ. Everything actually sounds better tuned and enginered just a bit better than the CDQ. So it really comes down to if you're an advit CD listener or not. All in all, this is a phenomenal New Order album right behind Get Ready.
