  • Worst BT album ever

Nothing redeeming about it. Stick with These Hopeful Machines. I wish I hadn’t bought it. Nothing catchy at all - self-indulgent nonsense and noise.

This Binary Universe is probably what I’d choose to listen to if I knew I only had 74 minutes left to live. It’s on my short list of all-time favorite albums from any genre, and is just as satisfying and impactful today after countless listens as it was when it was released almost 12 years ago. A few of BT’s later albums have a similar sound and are also very good (“If The Stars Are Eternal So Are You And I” as well as the untitled “_”) but neither quite recaptured the same magic. Great to see this available in the iTunes Store, as it was hard to find in any format for quite a while.

I’m 45 and have listened to everything from ELO to The Faceless. I would put this in the top 20 albums of all time. It is an experience that you need to halt your life to appreciate. It’s not background music. It’s not driving music. It’s a journey to the depths of what it means to be human.
  • Still BT's best 🎼 ever!

Even after 10 years, this is the album I come back to when I need a true fix of BT. It's my most listened to full album ever at over 300+ listenings. While Ima is where BT first made his mark, this is the beginning of what has become an amazing collection of sonic landscapes that continues today! 👂😎

To be clear, it would be the surround version of TBU. But the stereo versions contain the essence of these “lullabies”. The album “If Stars Are Eternal…” and the soundtrack to the film Monster are worthy additions for those that believe the best work of the “Godfather of Trance” is actually his downtempo work. Beyond the hype of the Keyboard Mag interview and some 7 years on - I still consider this album a landmark in the craft. Also, Brian has outright stated his intention to release a true TBU sequel (beyond the similar “If Stars…”). Maybe this iTunes release is a harbinger? We can only hope...
  • Thank you, I've been waiting for this album.

Definitely my favorite BT album and I'm wicked happy iTunes finally released it. Very conceptual and experimental modern composing. ❤️
  • A Modern Classic.

This album is not what you would consider a couple of songs to listen to, it's a set of seven works of art waiting to trigger the chills up your spine. No matter what genre you prefer, it being Electronic, Pop, RnB, Reggae, Classical, Rock.. This album is made for anyone and everyone. It's an album you must have in your collection no matter your musical preference. Would totally recommend.

This Binary Universe might just be the single most moving pieces of musical creation I've ever experienced. Bravo BT.

Bt represents a positive artistic revolution to EDM, this new album presents another high quality production, leaving Electronic music skeptics asking for more.
