I am so glad I found Nujabes. After my friends suggesting terrible pop rap like Kendrick Lamar this is a breath of fresh air. It’s melodic and the lyrics are smooth, intelligent, and most of all intelligible. I can listen to this album front to back over and over.

Nujabes single handedly made me fall in love with jazz-infused hip-hop with this album (and Modal Soul). "Metaphorical Music" offers this beautiful, atmospheric sound that is almost irresistable. From the guest vocals that will have your heads nodding with smooth rhymes over melodic beats, to the instrumental tracks that offer pleasent samples, horns, pianos, etc., "Metaphorical Music" will open your minds and touch your soul. Nujabes was truly an inspiring DJ/producer, and it is absolutely saddening that he is no longer with us. It's great to see that his discography is finally starting to be available. Favorite Tracks: "Highs 2 Lows," "Blessing It (Remix)," "Lady Brown," "Latitude (Remix)," "Peaceland," "Beat Laments the World," "Think Different."
