Only One Taste

It's too bad TB couldn't shake his demons and continue on with DP. Tommy and GH definitely clicked on songwriting but this is our only taste. Not a great album but a cool mix of rock, jazz and fusion. Tommy's signature licks dominate throughout. Highlights include The Drifter, Lady Luck, Gettin' Tighter, This Time Around and You Keep on Moving. I agree with review, no classic DP hits here but nice departure which was and still is underrated.

Too bad Bolin and Coverdale only did one album together, They could have change the name from Deep Purple on this album. No other album like it up until that time.
Criminally Underrated

While being a huge departure from the metal juggernaut of the classic Mach lol albums, this album still delivers a monster funk and blues infused punch. This album has so much grove and soul. Tommy Bolin's only sin is that he is replacing the iconic Ritchie Blackmore.

Fabulous album with Coverdale, Hughes & newcomer Tommy Bolin craft a superb release.
Words fail me to express the superlatives of this release.
