I am terrible at judging music. For the longest time, I HATED Ab-Soul. I don't even know what happened. Maybe when someone told me he was on his satanic sh-- I was roped in. Or it might have been when I listened to Lupe Fiasco's outro (really intro) track to Tetsuo & Youth. Either way, I was drawn heavy. Then I finally got the appeal. I think he has the best bars on TDE. I think this is his best work. Control system was a fantastic concept album, but this bruh, this is it. It's so dark and poetic, it's incredible. I slept on Aesop Rock for the longest time too. Maybe that's why so many underrated lyricists out there. But anyways, I don't know what my point of this review was. I thought this album was fantastic.

This is the album of the year hands down. TDE destroyed the competition in 2016. If you want mind-blowing straight up BARS, then you will actually love this album. Give it a few more listens after you hear the whole thing because this thing is deep. THANK YOU SOULO AND KEEP DOING WHAT YOU'RE DOING

Seriously a true work of art. I've been following Ab since LT1 & honestly I expected such a deep from-the-soul type of album. This has so many twists & double meanings hidden in it.
Real music makes you think, & that's exactly what this work of art does.
Blessed for Soulo.

As an Ab-soul fan I don't know what happened! Control system was great, but these last two albums have been sorry to say "weak". I know how he does on studio albums and I was hoping this time would be different but I was disappointed again π maybe next time. βοΈsoul brotha #2

Album is all killer no filler. A genuine hip hop experience when so many imitators flood the market. Some references in the lyrics may not be in the reach of some, with all the thelemic references, etc. those who will dig deep enough will find a well rewarding and fun experience. Love is the law. 93.
