It is a uniquely, vibrant relationship album that hits many buttons for me. (Perhaps sews a couple on my peacoat too. C. Maltempi-

I hate this music. It keeps coming up over and over on Apple Music, like Pearl Jam in the 90's on radio. It's not that good, please cycle something better apple.

I was worried after the breakup that their sound would be lost. This album is a little different without Coffman, but it's so good. I applaud the well-constructed sound and tempo experimentation that made me fall in love with them during Bitte Ocra. It is less folky than Lo Magellan, but I was actually pleased with that direction change. I am very happy with this album and excited to see what else Longstreth comes up with. Hoping for more to come, but in the meantime, I've listened to this album about 10 times already and will continue to - the complexity in the composition of these songs will keep you engaged.

Dirty Projectors' (well, David at least) self-titled seventh studio album is a heavy change of pace in favor an alt-R&B styling...an over bloated party David has arrived late to. Over produced and rather dull, the organic quirkiness and charming character brought to DP's last few releases by his now ex-band mates is sorely missing here. Nearly fifty minutes of pure David is a strain to get through.

Dirty Projectors finds itself to be a solo project this time around and the end result is a bit more difficult to swallow at first but it certainly grows on you. The first great release of the year!

It's nice and refreshing to hear something different in the music world that actually sounds talented. It's really good, and deserves a chance/download.

I pre-ordered the album so have listened to it a few times now. I was worried but it's really good. What I love about Dirty Projectors is their evolution from album to album and this album follows suit. It's familiar but different and I think other albums have felt very earthy...this album feels more urban with some of the effects added into the music. I still ❤️ this album!
