This is an overlooked classic. Couple snoozers but mostly really great. Don't know what issa-whatever is whining about- have it on vinyl with same 11 tracks.

FRAUD is the problem. It says buy the ALBUM. I bought 3. I already have the ALBUMs so know exactly what is on them. what I-tunes sells is NOT what they advertise. BUYER BEWARE. I received remarkedly different music than what i bought.
Timeless

I bought this album in 1970 which was the best purchase I made that year and today it is just as relevant and timeless. Jesse is a powerful songwriter whose lyrics and music convey the human spirit and transcends the listener into a spiritual connection with oneness (Listen to "Black Dog"). His voice is easy on the ears and rich in substance. He sings about every day people, places, and things and gives them life beyond uniformity. Jesse Winchester knows how to be a fellow man. See him live!!

Jesse Winchester's first LP was eagerly awaited and did not disappoint upon arrival! Yes; it did help a lot that various members of "The Band" backed him up on his first outing; but it was the songs and the singing that really stood out from the crowd! { We hear that Jesse shows up in Toronto and Montreal, Canada; sometimes sitting in with other musicians!} It must have been hard to leave Biloxi, Mississippi for the "Snow" of Ontario; much courage to follow your conscience! Chestnuts: Yankee Lady, Biloxi + The Brand New Tennessee Waltz. Let Jesse Winchester's mellow music "Nudge" itself into your collection!...by Grimmbo.
