as a lover of hard heavy metal music i do love classical as well. but can you tell me why the quality in classical music is soooooooooo poorly recorded ???? this music should shine above any.....starts out way to low and then after halfway thru the volume gets louder. this is common with classical music... dont know why.

noise level is surprisingly high, specially for as late recording as 2006. Sounds more like 1976. With dynamics of Son 14 this is badly noticable.

Just bought this and here is my two cents..... Ability ***** Interpretation **** CD quality *** This is a complete bargin, though. These three pieces have all of the movements on one track which means you're really getting 9 pieces for 4 dollars. There is a hiss in the recording, but it isn't that loud. (what you hear in the 30 second clip is what you hear through most of it....I only hear it when my volume is turned up). Piano Sonata 14 has a peak or two in the third movement (peak as in the volume peaks out) The pieces are played with emotion, they are played well, and despite the cd quality.....It was worth the purchase. If you are looking for high quality clarity and no room for recording errors....You may want to choose another recording.

Beethoven was a musical genius, and these are his best sonatas. The Moonlight Sonata gives me chills every time I hear it, and Appassionata and Pathetique are amazing. If you are a Beethoven fan or wanting to get into his music, this is a great place to start

I love Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 14 In C-Sharp Minor, like Barber's Adiago for Strings it brings out emotions in me. Both of these wonderous works make me feel at peace. I hope others will enjoy them as I do.

bethoven is the most amazing composer. this music flows so beautifully. its almost addictive.
