Brian + everybody were genius on this!! What a mood. Very melancholy. Even the hard rock song Student Demonstration Time is killer, with a police siren as a musical instrument. I agree that Surf's Up may be the best pop song of all time.

Brian Wilson was in such a precarious place at the time, but his genius shows through none the less. He was Beck decades before we knew who Beck would be. Feel Flows, Surf's Up and Til I Die could be playing right now with real appreciation by an entirely new generation of listeners.
