I LOVE Valerie’s voice. It has a unique and pleasing richness. The arrangements on this album are a perfect compliment to her talent. Long, Long Road and The Front Door are killer. Was snoozing during a PBS program on the nature of Time and her song Long, Long Road was highlighted. Woke up because of her voice. Immediately looked her up. I’m hooked!!

Everytime I hear Valerie June, it moves me. Her voice takes me back to a different lifetime. It lifts me. It cradles me. It casts a spell. It contains so much earthly emotional energy that it leaves me feeling raw like my heart is exposed from my rib cage. But then there is a spiritual element that lifts you up. Every song on this album is and should be a hit. Her song Astral Plane has a special power over me like a message from ancient ancestors in the stars.
