i don't know why this cd gets such low ratings. it baffles me infact. people don't even pay attention to music anymore. it's all about what kind of dance you can do to the song. not what the song is actually about, it's quite sad

I don't mind emotional rapping (Kanye West) or garage beats with British accents. The first Streets album was class, but this is just terrible. I give it two stars for the decent production.

I'm proubaly one of the few americans who likes the Streets, though that's just because very few people here have heard of them. My favorite songs on the album are Prangin Out, and When you Wasn't Famous. Mike Skinner Rocks!

Now, I really hate rap. I usually can't stand it. But The Streets are something completely different. Mike Skinner's witty, and funny lyrics, and the beats make this album amazing. The best songs on this album are "When You Wasn't Famous", "Never Went To Church" and "The Hardest Way To Make an Easy Living". Again, though, the whole album is amazing, and Mike Skinner is one of America's greatest imports!

Skinner is a lyrical beat genius to say the very least. It's beyond refreshing to sit down and disect the ins-and-outs of a rap/hip-hop album without the stereotypical shallow background of today's "rap"...this is truly a masterpiece and a beautiful and unique follow-up to A Grand Don't Come for Free...The Streets are unstoppable and bold leaders on the musical front...never afraid to throw the truth of it all in your face.

So much for being an everyday geezer. Mike Skinner is a celeb now, and his new material reflects it. Or reflects on it. Again he does well, with "Hardest Way," the in-your-face "Prangin," and "Never Went to Church" topping my favorites list. The album doesn't end with much, but the good is very good. And he's not rap, he's not electronic, he's a poet of two-step.
  • Yet Again...

Mike Skinner pulls off another witty tale of wisdom and woe that although doesn't quite impact as much as 'A Grand Don't Come For Free' did, still leaves you smiling at the end. More of this album can be used for dancing music, unlike previous albums where the true point was to sit and listen. Regardless,I'd recommend it for those with an unsatisfied hunger for true lyrical art and otherwise authentic, original entertainment...and doesn't he have the most adorable eyes???
