  • A Timeless Masterpiece

Fear Inoculum isn’t just an album — it’s a living, breathing force. Every track pulls you deeper into a world of sound where time, space, and emotion bend. I’ve never been so addicted to a record. Danny Carey is widely considered one of the greatest drummers of all time. His style is this unreal mix of precision, power, polyrhythms, and deep, almost mystical timing. On Fear Inoculum, he’s especially insane — blending complex time signatures, tribal rhythms, and jazz influences into something that feels primal and futuristic at the same time. A lot of his drumming is inspired by sacred geometry and even mathematical patterns, which gives Tool’s music that hypnotic, otherworldly pulse you can almost feel in your bones. Tracks like “Pneuma” and “Invincible” absolutely blew me away, with “Fear Inoculum” itself standing as my third favorite. Each song feels like its own universe — emotional, powerful, and endlessly layered. They leave you feeling like you’ve traveled somewhere far beyond yourself. Tool created something eternal with Fear Inoculum. It’s not just music you hear — it’s music you live. Pure art.

Tool forgot how to write a SONG. This is just a collection of riffs (including some very good ones) that meander along without amounting to much. There are great sections, but there aren’t any good songs. Such a waste. They are immensely talented musicians. This is utter garbage, and this is coming from a Tool fan. To all you defenders saying this is “technical” and “inventive”, Maynard is sitting back counting the dollars and laughing at YOU. Tool went into the studio, just screwed around lazily, knowing that we’d buy. Yes I bought, but at least I can see what this is. A cash grab. Shame on you Maynard, and shame on all you defenders. Put the bong down for a few minutes and admit you’ve been had. They put almost no effort into this.

I fall more in love with this album every time I listen to it, as has been the case with every Tool album. As a fan since the early ‘90s, I can’t express enough my awe and gratitude for the artistry and commitment from these guys. Just mind blowing. There are parts of this album that are absolutely awe inspiring. I want more, but if this is the end, what an amazing epic gran finale. Also, see them live while you still can. It’s worth taking a plane ride for if you have to.
