I’Tunes carries a lot of power in the music industry. With soundtracks now only being released digitally, there are not a lot of options where one can purchase their music. So I find it upsetting that I cannot buy the NOPE soundtrack unless I subscribe to Apple’s music service, which means I don’t own a copy, I am only renting it, or I have to buy the tracks at 99 cents a pop, which comes out to thirty plus dollars. That is obscene.

Another terrific contribution from Michael Abels, at a time in film music where so much sounds generic and ummemorable. I wish people would get back to hummable leitmotifs and classic orchestrations as well as all the electronic stuff!

I'm not a horror film person, but I can indeed say that Michael Abels will indeed recieve his first Academy Award nomination for this haunting, genre-bending orchestral score for Jordan Peele's latest horror fable.
