Laufey's voice is rich and balanced sweet like Godiva chocolate. You want to sit in your lounge chair, like I am, and let it pour over you. Laufey singing with Barbara Streisand makes so much sense, because her music reaches back but stays with you today like the great classic singers. For anyone who has listened to songs of the 30s-70s, or caught Tony Bennet at the end of his career, her lyrics will remind you of the style of then, but rings the familiar phraseology of now. I want to see her perform. You will enjoy this young lady!

I had never heard of her until I heard one of her songs being used in an ice skating competition. I’m sorry to say I can’t remember the name of the young lady who skated to the song but the whole thing was mesmerizing! I love the song, Promise, and her skating was beautiful. But after finding out the singer’s name I bought this album and LOVE IT! What a talent! Her voice has an ethereal quality to it that makes it so easy to listen to, I play it when I’m reading or doing cross stitching. Very happy I bought this album and will be purchasing others now!
