This song reminds me of my wife so much. I remember struggling and then my wife came into my life and she was a support line for me. We had to struggle for years but she stayed with me through it all and my life was black and white but she is “The Painter”!

The night George Jones and Merle Haggard stood on stage at the Ryman Auditorium , Jones said to Merle “you are my favorite singer since Hank Williams Sr and the main thing we are on stage tonight for is Real Country Music”. Cody Johnson is Real Country Music and I know guys like Jones and Haggard would agree. So guys like Tyler Hubbard, Kane Brown, Hardy and Jelly Roll (that’s only naming a few there are many more) should take some time to reevaluate what they are singing and what they are doing on the Country genre. Please sit in on some Real Country Music singers concerts or rehearsals and take notes and realize you belong in the Pop genre. I can’t stand it that any of you non country singers are even on the charts. Cody so very proud of you and please continue the Real Country Music you have been putting out. George and Merle sat down and drank a beer listening to your new song. 🍻😉
