Another fantastic listening experience from Cody Jinks and the Tonedeaf Hippies! Definitely a 5 star review.

Mercy was a great album so I had high expectations for this album of course but this album is a new Cody jinks sound and I’m not much of a fan. No song gets me on the edge of my seat like on his other albums and I miss it. Hope he goes back to his original sound. Love Cody though
  • Distinctively different Jinks sound!!!!

If you’ve grown up with Cody Jinks and his staple of down to earth, gut checking country music, then this new sound may disappoint. The man is a lyrical genius and has a sound and snap that hits you like a freight train. This album does not have that push you to the edge of your seat sound. He’s a great and truthful artist, who has changed the game. But I’m afraid he is headed in a direction away from what brought him to this point.

If I’m being perfectly honest, what I’m trying to say, is people making fun of my music taste and liking this in forcing it on me has really pushed me away. For example, the guy in the reviews attacking me I love skillet as well. Cody Jinks is good, but just not my favorite and that reviewer has hurt me bad. And that is an example of what I have been trying to say if that still doesn’t make sense, I am still willing to talk to whoever doesn’t understand

Cody is in the same zip code as Merle and Waylon, but not in the same neighborhood. Seems lately he is trying too hard to feed that “Outlaw”, “Working Man” et al. look and sound and has fallen short. This album is plenty good and absolutely worth a listen and definitely does not “Change the Game”. 😎
