Reviews

  • The most beautiful vulnerable album of our time!

This album is so raw. It’s absolutely heartbreaking to know the bts of what’s going on with Halsey’s health and making an album with such dedication thinking it could be your last. Wow. I am in awe of this woman and I hope she gets to create many more albums. This one is an absolute work of art and some people just don’t get it. I feel sorry for them. Give it a listen, watch some interviews about the album. It’s really touching I promise.

I’ve been a fan of Halsey since before she’d even dropped her first album so I was of course very excited for this album. However this album is truly a masterpiece that sticks with you. When I first listened to it I enjoyed it but I was missing the fun and intense songs of IICHLIWP. However the more and more I listen to this album and allow it to sit with me, it truly becomes better and better. This is an album that requires time and patience to truly notice every tiny detail and appreciate. To add to it I was diagnosed with an extremely rare autoimmune disease last year and this album has become a comfort blanket of sorts when my disease is flairing up and I’m feeling so painfully alone. This album may not be for everyone and may not be a radio hits album- but I think it’s a life saving album for those that need it. There aren’t very many songs or albums that really face that realities of having your life completely shattered by a medical diagnosis and wondering if you should be writing a will before the age of 35. If you aren’t chronically ill, you may not relate as heavily to this album, but I do think anyone could enjoy and appreciate this album. This isn’t a “normal” Halsey album but I’m so grateful it exists.
