Hip-Hop is not dead, it has just been invaded by “artist” (if you can call them that) who don’t truly understand what Hip-Hop is. What it is not…is simple and meaningless lyricism or being a carbon copy of what every other “artist” is doing. Banks continues to achieve success and experience a longevity in Hip-Hop very few have, will, or can. Pure Hip-Hop is seen, heard, experienced, worn, sprayed, lived, and yes…written.

No one’s rapping like this this deep into their career. From the COTI trilogy to the new HH tapes, Banks can’t miss. Probably the most underrated rapper of all time. Life lessons and gems scattered within intricate lyrics, beats like the soundtrack to a Halloween movie, rhyme schemes for days, this is quintessential Banks. Thank you to the PLK for another one.
