Quantity AND Quality

Ignore the other review with a similar name.
I genuinely don’t understand the argument that Forrest Frank makes cookie cutter and shallow music. It’s okay if you don’t like the style but at least LISTEN TO THE SONGS before you call them all the same.
“Drop!” is about humility in the face of fame and choosing to serve God over self
“Nothing Else” is about the emptiness of the world and how it only takes Faith and Family to be happy
“Sunrise” is about holding on when life gets tough and making it to a new day
THESE ARE JUST SONGS RELEASED THIS YEAR.
Yes, Forrest makes music that celebrates a relationship with God. Of course it’s gonna be happy and have lyrics that will share a similar message. It’s is absolutely not shallow though.
Thank you Forrest for sharing your talent! Child of God 2 is going to be amazing.
Also, the production (as always) is amazing

Don’t get me wrong; I genuinely admire Forrest’s heart. But what he labels as a fresh approach to Christian music is merely more of the same predictable, cliché lyrics that never dive deep under the surface. Every song has cookie-cutter tracks, with the same fake high hats and claps. I get it, he found a niche and is sticking to it but with no emotional depth or originality. Why does the music representing a very real God sound so fake? I'm not saying Christian music can't hit hard; I know it can. That's why lazy songs like these are so disappointing. We’re designed with the freedom and passion to create musical art that complements the beauty of His sunsets. Music that stands the test of time. But what’s being released as the billboard of Christ’s music, feels artificial and plastic.
Keep them coming Forrest!!!

If the first few released songs from Child of God II is any indication of what's to come, we are in store for an album that will rule music for the Summer of 2025. Churches will be playing them, dances will be created, and radio will be overloaded with requests for these songs.
I thought the first Child of God album was a rare play front to back set of song, I think Forrest has another one ready for us. Excited to see him this Thursday in Seattle with 18 of my 4th graders and many other kids from my school. ECS will be well represented and we are beyound fired up to worship God along to Forrest's song.
God has placed Forrest at a time such as this to fuel the revival of the Big C and to win this next generation! Good is Good...All the Time!
