Master Sergeant Jack Briggs, baritone, sang with the Soldiers' Chorus from the early 1970s until his retirement from the Army in the early 1990s. He is from Audubon, Iowa, and joined the military after college and graduate school. He currently resides in Branson, MO.
  • Best rendition of Scarlet Ribbons EVER

This rating is not for the album. I did not buy the album. I was looking for a single of Scarlet Ribbons and I purchased the one on this album after previewing several of the versions on iTunes. The guy that sings it has the most beautiful voice for a non-classical singer I have ever heard. It's effortless with a wide range and a heavenly timber. I am an opera snob. I only listen to opera and only appreciate voices of operatic caliber but his voice is just exquisite. I'd love to know who he is.
  • Best "Carol of the Bells"

This album has the best rendition of Carol of the Bells I could find on iTunes. I enjoy a very fast, crisp performance, which the US Army Field Band delivers. Many of the other fast recordings have distortion at the loudest, highest points in the song. Not this one. Excellent.
