This album is one of the most AWESOME albums that I have ever listened to. The story, the music, and the artist are secone to none. If your wanting an albumthat you can relax to, this album is it!! I was intrduced to it in while stationed at RAF Greenham Common/Welford in the late 70's and it has remained part of my musical library since then. Make sure to listed to the story within the music, you won't be sorry. ENJOY!!!! ; )

Saw the movie in the early fifties and have loved it ever since. This album captures the emotions of the story accurately and beautifully. The first side is frightening…..one of the best sides ever.

I bought this album on vinyl, still have it. Immediately made a 2 sided cassette. Wore it out. Bought the cassette set. Wore it out. Made a master tape on reel to reel. Still have it. Used the album one final time to convert to digital. Have it as 4 sides. Every side has a true gem. If at least one song/interlude? doesn’t grab you, you have a heart of stone. Used to have a radio station that played Orson Wells version followed by this every Halloween.

One of my all time favorite LPs. I had a cassette version I used to play on long road trips. It makes the passage of two hours go by so fast while being greatly entertaining.

I first heard this album when I was in high school on Halloween night in 1978 or 1979. A local FM AOR radio station played the whole thing and I was hooked. One thing that's always bugged me with the album is what they have the Martians saying. The album has them saying "OOYAAA" but in the book written by H.G. Wells he had them saying "Aloo". I don't know maybe it doesn't quite have the same musical feel as "OOYAAA". Yeah, I'm picky. What can I say.

Jeff Wanye and Richard Burton have great voices. You have to go to Orson Welles on Alan Parson;s "Tales of Mystery and Imagination" to get better. I got the vinyl of this when ift first came out. Still love it.

I have this on cd and pull it out and list to it. I remember reading in the paper some years ago about the radio version that scared people into thinking its real. I still watch the ’65? movie and sometimes the newer version.
