dear King Stevie, bless your soul; thank you so much for your contribution to the music industry. you were such an amazing guitarist and vocalist. you will defiantly inspire many more musicians-to-be, because your legacy will live on, just like it is today. you've really inspired me, and all I can do is play in your memory instead of being able to personally thank you. you struck a huge chord in the musician Mike McCready, another one of my favorites. I don't know, if it hadn't been for you, would he be a guitarist today? not sure on that one, but thank you so, so much for being able to inspire these amazing musicians... thank you!

I know he didn't write this song but I swear its the greatest song Stevie has touched. Crank it and listen to suttle guitar techniques. I personally don't like fender stratocasters but he makes me want to own a few. The overdrive is incredible on the on the neck position. Kudos! Wish I could see it live. :/
  • Really iTunes?

how are you stupid enough to include this in blues of the 80's when clearly you have the correct release date of '91. steve jobs should really evaluate why he actually pays any of you morons to review anything. at all. whatsoever. idiots.

Glad I'm buying this album after iTunes finally included all of the songs from the original CD. I'm not a particularly sentimental kind of guy, but I still choke up when I listen to Life By The Drop. That song reflects my whole philosophy of life...I'm still savoring my Life a drop at a time! I agree with other's statements that anyone that has even a vague interest in Blues or high quality guitar-work should add this title to their collection. It is one of those rare releases where you will find yourself enjoying every song on the disc!

Stevie Ray Vaughan was at the top of his game when the helicopter he was riding in hit a hill on August 27,1990. He was only 35 years old. He had beaten his addictions and was a man reborn-I could see it in his face and relaxed smile. Playing his Fender Stratocaster with fingers flying and a voice that squeezed every last drop of emotion from his songs-his charismatic sound of "electric blues" still leaves you in awe. This album was the first of several that were released after his death and it quickly climbed the charts then went on to win a Grammy. These albums are reminders of what was lost and has to make you wonder what Stevie Ray would be playing now.. Xooniatrueblood

I have the original CD. All the songs from the CD are on itunes. However, the artwork does not import from itunes for some reason.

Simply the best guitarist of his generation. Nuff said. I agree that if one or two tracks are lacking it does diminish what is a great album, but time and time again I see reviews from people who think that Apple just 'decides to leave off a track'. It's not their fault. In order to offer such tracks as Little Wing for sale they must first negotiate to get the rights to do so from the owners of such tracks. They can't just sell it if they want, which is what got other music dowload services in a lot of hot water years ago. It's not always easy to cut through the red tape. So give Apple a break! If albums are only partial then blame it on the lawyers instead!
