  • Let down! What?

My hate has just rose to a new level for Itunes. Let down?!!!! Come on. This is the album that made Stevie. Its the colmanation of years and years of hard work and you can hear it in every single lick of the entire record. If your looking for some Stevie Ray Vaughn, start here. And as much as I hate 'album only' sales, Voodoo Child is a must have. It's arguably the best cover Stevie ever did.

One of SRV's best. It shows his guitar mastery. He even covers two songs blues greats. Go ahead and buy it, you won't be dissapointed.

It's hard to believe that SRV will be gone now almost 20 years but this album is a difinite must have for any SRV fans. Long live the legend! I just wish I would have went to see him live in concert. For the ones that did, it must to have been an sight to behold!

The original vinyl album ended with "Stang's Swang." As far as Voodoo Child, blame Hendrix's father for leaving copyrights to Jimi's adopted sister. You can probably Google the ongoing legal war between her and Hendrix's brother by blood.

I first heard SRV around 1982-3 when Texas Flood came out. After a decade of very tired blues record from people we expect more from, SRV almost single handedly brought back vitality to the genre. Between him and Robert Cray the blues came to life again in the 80s. Couldn't Stand the Weather is just one of a number of great albums from Stevie. Buy this if you know what's good for you.

Voodoo Chile isn't even the best song on the CD. It's The Things (That) I Used To Do! His greatest solo in my opinion.

If you listen to track # 13 and you don't find yourself tapping your feet or playing air guitar you need to check your pulse. This man was truly gifted and inspirational to anyone who likes to boogie! Fantastic sound and Rhythm! RIP SRV!
