Good, but Overrated

This is a very good album, but it is neither a classic nor Common's best. Apart from the second track (which is, admittedly, one of the greatest songs of all time) it just doesn't live up to some of his later work. Buy "I Used to Love H.E.R." and save the rest of your money for "Be" or "Like Water for Chocolate."

Resurrection is my favorite hip hop album of all time. I bought the tape back in the day and it grew on me like no other album. I probably played the tape until it disintegrated!! This is the definition of hip hop. Thisisme, Resurrection, I used to love her, OMG!!!!

I feel bad for these young folks who just got down with Common on "Be". They need to back track. "Resurrection" IS Common's finest work! He definitely has softened up in his later albums. Download this one please! The last album he made as "Common Sense".
