Jeanne is such a fantastic storyteller. I'm particularly fond of Left Brain's Grocery List. Great humor, lots of laughs.
  • Funniest I've heard in years!

If you can picture the early comedy routines of Bill Cosby, done up as a tall, elegant, 60-ish former Miss North Carolina, you've got Jeanne Robertson. Her routines about being married to her husband, "Left Brain", are paralyzingly funny, as are her comments on the human condition in general. Even my 14-year-old daughter, who currently hates all adults, found her terribly, terribly funny.

Jeanne Robertson is a hoot! She takes every day situations and lets you in on the humorous side of things. Good clean fun. I couldn't stop laughing while I was listening. Wish I could meet her in person.

I laughed until I cried at Left Brain's grocery list! It never gets old no matter how many times I listen. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves to laugh : )

This classy southern lady proves that you can be awfully funny without being awful. Her humor is down-to-earth and was much enjoyed. The grocery store visit was a scream. I even (sheepishly) shared the album with my wife who also laughed.

What a joy to listen to .. she is full of the down home charm and absolute hilarity I knew as a child in the South. The stories are great and full of the pitfalls of leftbrain thinking.

In this day and time when you have to worry about the appropriateness of humor around the older and younger crowds, this album takes all that away. It is soccer-mom safe and hilarious. Jeanne claims not to be a comedian, but her truisms had me rolling in laughter. Thanks to XM 151 for letting me first hear her, and to itunes for making her other works accessible.

Jeanne is hilarious! Just goes to show you don't have to be dirty to be funny. She is so refreshing and I just laughed and laughed. Wonderful!

Of the Southern storytellers who have found their home away from home on XM Comedy Channel 151, Ms. Robertson is the greatest. She doesn''t tell jokes, probably couldn't, but she recalls humorous moments in her life, and she uses them as a speaker to help others find humor, and thus reduce stress, in their lives. If you are married, or have children, or were once a child, or just sometimes feel you are too "wound-up," you will laugh yourself silly at "Southern Style."
