I've only listened to a few tracks so far... Prelude is GORGEOUS live. WOW. I've listened to the Ma Fleur version over and over to the point where I know it like the back of my hand - and this live version absolutely took my breath away. Wow. I was kind of disappointed with the vocal aspect of Time and Space, my favorite of Ma Fleur. I don't know if they made cuts or whatnot, but the singer seemed extremely confused with where she was supposed to be in the chord progression. I'm all for mixing it up, but she sounded lost and extremely late at times. The vocal bit they added at the end was intriguing. The strings sounded great and expressive, however it seemed like one section of the strings had a hotter mic than the rest. I usually don't pay any attention to live albums - I'm a coldblooded fan of pristine studio quality music....but this one is definitely worth your while.

I wish i didn't have to buy the whole album to get this amazing track. It's my favorite by cinematic orchestra and i already bought the cd WITHOUT it. dang.

One of the many great things about The Cinematic Orchestra is their live act differs - sometimes greatly - from their recorded material. While not featuring the post-production magic that their albums contain, their live sets often times sound better. You can feel the love of the music as they play. Everything flows. While not the *best* live album, it is certainly great still, and it's worth the 10 bucks from TCO and non-TCO fans alike.

I love the additive of a live setting for this music. They only buff I have is the lack of Patrick Watson's presence. The vocals on "To Build a Home" are not the same without him.

Have been a big fan of theirs for years and haven't been able to see them live. Not really into live releases myself, but this is one is a must if you are a Cinematic fan! Truly lovely.

What is there one producer producing all the same crap. Do not waste your time or money.
  • Some of the Most Important Music in the Last 10 years!

Jason Swinscoe & Co. have consistently cataloged some of the most geniune, soulful, and perfectly composed music in my generation (mid-20s). There's not much to say, other than the fact that this music is as important to me (and electronica/fusion) as Miles Davis & Coltrane were to the '60s and my parents generation of beautiful music - could have easily said The Beatles, but I'd use them anagolous to Radiohead today.
  • Neccessary purchase for Cinematic fans

The greatness of this cannot be said in words. And the snippets are just to short to give a realistic view of the album.

i saw the boston leg of this tour and was left completely speechless. amazing atmosphere, a great selection of songs from the new album and catalog favorites. sound is beautiful and performances from everyone are spot on (particularly the drummer, good lawd). i have seen a LOT of bands across many genres and i do not say this lightly, but this show is probably in my top 5 all time. do yourself a favor and pick this one up.
