Gotan Project Live

I heard Gotan the first time in a little record store on Calle Florida in BsAs and have loved them ever since. I own Lunico, La Revanch del Tango, and Incpiracion and love them all, though Inspiracion a little less, I think they were still finding their voice then. Through them I've bought a lot of Tango Nuevo, Otro Aires, Jazmine presents BsAs, and Tango Jointz to name a few. I've even bought some Carlos Gardel. That being said I have to admit I was a little under impressed by this live album. I love the depth and richness of their studio sound, and perhaps not being a musician myself I don't appreciate fully the flavor of the "liveness" on this record. I don't regret buying it, but had I listen to the whole thing first I probably would not have. In every instance I just prefer the original song as released to the live version. I still consider myself a fan and look forward very eagerly to their next new album.

Simply addictive and mesmerizing.

Astonishing, addictive, hypnotizing, amazing piece of work.

This is hands down Gotan Project's best album. The live version revives the songs and show it in a different light. Beautifully done. You will not be disappointed, I promise.

This is so great because it gives all different tango dancers a chance to find their perfect music. For example, if you like to do lots of quick moving rocks in your tango, use Nocturna. Also, there are some for argentine tangos! TANGO VARIATIONS!

Si la grabaciones en estudio son maravillosas, en vivo suenan grandiosos; es la mejor propuesta musical que es escuchado en los ultimos años, ojala vengan pronto a México. Saludos desde Ciudad Juárez.

The song I like the most is "Triptico", the 2 of the album are incredible, this album is a treasure hidden in the web.

If you've been following all of Gotan Project's music, you probably have seen Queremos Paz Live DVD released a few years ago, in which most of the songs in this album are contained, excepting songs from Lunático. It's an exquisite combination between the Gotan Project you already know and the feeling of a live concert with the most recent songs like diferente (which is my personal favourite) or criminal, buy this album and play it in you high-end set... It's unbelievable!!!
